2012 HURON LITTLE LEAGUE, INC. BASEBALL REGISTRATION

Huron Little League Registration for girls and boys ages 7 to 16 is scheduled for February 2  and 6, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and February 4, 2012 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Huron Little League Training Center in the Huron Mall.  A birth certificate is required for registration if the child is new to the program.  The deadline to sign up is February 6, 2012. Timely registration is essential for determining the number of teams and the number of players on each team.  If you are unable to register prior to the deadline, a late fee of $25.00 will be imposed.

The player registration fee cost is listed below.  We will not exclude children from the program due to the inability to pay.  If a family is unable to pay the fees, a scholarship is available upon application and final approval.  Please ask any board member for this information. League costs are determined by the player’s age as of April 30th of this year is as follows:

                The success of any baseball program is attributable to volunteer coaches, umpires, and concession stand workers. To provide a strong base of volunteers a $100 volunteer check must be paid at the time of registration.  The volunteer check will be returned after a family completes their “volunteer time”.  Volunteer time is equal to working 3 concession stand nights from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, OR umpiring three (3) game nights during the season. If you are selected as a volunteer as a head coach or an assistant coach, you will have fulfilled your family’s volunteer time. You may choose to work any tournament that is scheduled in the concession stand or as an umpire during the season to work your required volunteer hours. If all volunteer hours have not been worked by the end of the season, the volunteer check may be cashed.  A volunteer sign up calendar and sheets will be available at the concession stand.
